In short: Zone is a web host with Estonian roots: in business since 1999, serving more than 60,000 clients, with support in Estonian, Russian, Finnish and English. Servers are in Estonia, Finland and Amsterdam, with daily backups, a firewall and DDoS protection. Our own website also runs on a Zone server in Tallinn.

Web hosting is a foundation: when it is good, nobody thinks about it; when it is bad, everything suffers – speed, Google rankings, email and sales. We have used several hosts in client projects, and Zone.ee is the one we recommend to Estonian businesses most often. Here is why.

1. Local, with a long track record

Zone was founded in Estonia in 1999. According to the company, it has more than 60,000 clients and over 50 specialists, and it has officially operated in Finland since 2021. Since August 2026 Zone has been part of the international Your.Online group, but the service and support remain local. A host with this history will not vanish overnight and understands what Estonian clients need: .ee domains, e-invoices and support in Estonian and Russian.

2. Servers close by: Estonia, Finland, Amsterdam

Zone’s servers are in Estonia, Finland and Amsterdam, in monitored data centres with backup power and backup connections. The closer the server is to the visitor, the faster the page arrives. For an Estonian audience that means minimal latency, which helps keep Core Web Vitals in the green. We explain why this matters for SEO in web hosting and SEO.

3. Fast support in your language

Zone’s support answers in Estonian, Russian, Finnish and English by phone, email and chat. When something breaks on a Friday evening, it makes a big difference whether you talk to a local specialist in your own language or file a ticket on the other side of the world. According to the company, Zone is rated 4.7 out of 5 in Google reviews.

4. Security and backups by default

5. Built for WordPress and online stores

Plans include SSD storage, MariaDB databases, cron jobs and one-click WordPress installs. The Business and PRO plans add Redis caching, which especially speeds up WooCommerce stores. The MinuZone control panel manages domains, hosting, email and SSL certificates in one place.

Prices

According to Zone’s website (2 Nov 2026), plans with annual billing cost: Starter €9.95, Business €16.90 and PRO €30 per month. A company website often fits Starter; for a WooCommerce store we recommend Business or PRO. Check current prices and VAT on Zone’s site before ordering.

Is Zone right for everyone?

For almost every small and medium-sized business in Estonia. If a project needs specific server settings, heavy traffic or a separate environment, consider a Zone cloud or private server or another solution – we can help you choose. Good hosting alone does not make a site fast: code and image optimisation matter too, see WordPress speed optimisation.

Our experience

The IT Solutions website runs on a Zone server in Tallinn. We move clients’ WordPress websites and WooCommerce stores to Zone without losing data or Google rankings – see WordPress migration and hosting and WordPress maintenance.
