In short: People most often ask AI assistants three kinds of questions: “how much does it cost”, “which is better” and “is it worth it”. Three pages answer them: a pricing page with ranges and explanations, an honest comparison page with a table and “choose X if…” verdicts, and an FAQ with short, direct answers. Without them, ChatGPT takes its answer from a competitor’s site or a generic article.

Think about what your customer asks AI before they call you. It is almost always one of three things: price, comparison or doubt. If your website does not answer those questions, AI cannot cite you. This article shows what pricing, comparison and FAQ pages need to look like to make it into ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. As an example we use a fictional business: “Bath Studio”, a bathroom renovation company in Tallinn.

Why these three pages?

Customer question to AI Page that answers it
“How much does a bathroom renovation cost in Tallinn?” Pricing page
“Tiles or microcement – which is better?” Comparison page
“Can I live in the flat during the renovation?” FAQ

An AI answer needs concrete numbers and a clear conclusion. These three pages provide both.

What should a pricing page include?

“Price on request” is a blank to an AI. You do not have to publish an exact price list, but ranges are essential. A good pricing page includes:

Pricing page outline

  1. In short: 2–3 sentences with the price range.
  2. Pricing table: package – price – what’s included – timeframe.
  3. What affects the price (list).
  4. A worked example for a typical project.
  5. Price FAQ and an enquiry form.

How do you build a comparison page AI trusts?

“X or Y” questions are very common in AI, because people want a decision, not a list. A good comparison page is honest: if your option is not the best in every case, say so. A page where your option always wins reads like an ad, and AI will rather cite a more neutral source.

Tiles Microcement
Price per m² (example) €90–140 €120–180
Grout lines Yes No
Durability Very high High, needs care
Choose it if… you want easy maintenance you want a seamless surface

Comparison page outline

  1. In short: who each option suits, one sentence each.
  2. A comparison table with 5–8 criteria.
  3. “Choose X if…” and “Choose Y if…” lists.
  4. A price and timeframe example.
  5. Your recommendation and the reasoning behind it.

What makes a good FAQ?

An FAQ is where you answer the real questions customers ask your sales and support teams. Collect them from emails, calls and chats. The rules:

Google now shows FAQ rich results mainly for government and health sites, but the markup still helps machines understand your questions and answers correctly. More on markup in Schema markup for AI visibility.

Which mistakes keep you out of AI answers?

Mistake Why it hurts What to do
Only “price on request” AI has no number to give Publish ranges and a worked example
Marketing fluff “Best quality” cannot be verified Replace it with facts
Prices in a PDF or image Crawlers may not read them Put the table in HTML
Content loaded by JavaScript Many AI crawlers do not run scripts Check the page source, see the technical checklist
One language only AI answers in the user’s language Publish ET, RU and EN versions
Outdated prices AI may quote the wrong amount Update them and show the date

How do you check that your pricing, comparison and FAQ pages work?

Once your pricing, comparison and FAQ pages are live, wait 2–4 weeks for them to be re-indexed and run a simple test:

Repeat the test monthly. Results fluctuate more than in classic search, so watch the trend rather than any single answer.

Where should you start?

  1. List the 10 questions customers ask most often before buying.
  2. Sort them into three groups: price, comparison, doubt.
  3. Build a pricing page with ranges and a table.
  4. Build one comparison page for your most common “X or Y” question.
  5. Add FAQ blocks with FAQPage markup to your service pages.
  6. Check that the pages exist in every language and the text is in the page source.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to publish exact prices?

No. Price ranges, the factors that affect the price and one worked example are enough. AI needs a number, not a formal quote.

Can I name competitors on a comparison page?

It is better to compare solutions and technologies (for example WordPress vs Shopify) rather than specific companies. That keeps the page neutral and more trustworthy.

Does the FAQ need its own page?

Both help: a separate FAQ page for general questions, and short FAQ blocks on each service page for questions about that service.

How often should I update the pricing page?

At least once a quarter or after every price change. Show the date so both people and AI can see the information is current.
