Expedition travel website
Discover Antarctica offers sailing yacht expeditions to Antarctica and the Arctic, including Greenland. Trips run aboard the yachts Admiral Bellingshausen and Admiral Lazarev, and travellers can book individual places or charter a whole vessel. We redesigned the company’s existing English-language website, highlighted its expeditions and fleet, created a timetables and prices page and added booking request forms.
Challange
Antarctic expedition timetables and booking requests online
Antarctic and Arctic expeditions are rare, high-value trips, and travellers want to see exact dates, prices and onboard conditions before enquiring. Discover Antarctica needed a website that conveys the experience, presents the fleet and brings timetables for every season together in one place. Sending a booking request also had to be simple for both private travellers and charter clients.
Solution
Expedition travel WordPress website built with Elementor
We redesigned the website on WordPress using Elementor. The homepage uses large visuals and quick links to Antarctic and Arctic expeditions. The timetables page lists start and end dates for each yacht and season, prices by cabin type, charter options and available discounts. Fleet pages present the yachts Admiral Bellingshausen and Admiral Lazarev, and a gallery shows photos from the trips. Booking and contact requests are handled by WPForms forms. Yoast SEO manages metadata, Complianz handles cookie consent, Cloudflare protects and speeds up the site, and Google Analytics tracks visits.
