But the direction is clear: more and more customers will reach stores through AI recommendations.<\/p>\n<h2>What does an AI agent need from your store?<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Accurate product data.<\/strong> Exact name, price, stock, dimensions, material and delivery time. If data is missing, the agent picks a competitor.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Structured data.<\/strong> Product and Offer markup helps machines understand price and availability.<\/li>\n<li><strong>A product feed.<\/strong> A Google Merchant Center feed is the foundation that new AI shopping tools also rely on.<\/li>\n<li><strong>A simple, fast checkout.<\/strong> The fewer steps and surprises, such as hidden delivery costs, the better the purchase works for people and agents alike.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Clear terms.<\/strong> Delivery, returns and warranty should be written in plain language.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>Where to start?<\/h2>\n<p>Start by cleaning up your product data and setting up Google Merchant Center.
